In history we are always looking to enhance students’ understanding of key events and battles. Year 7 are currently learning about the Battle of Hastings and the key pivotal moments, which led to Duke William of Normandy taking the throne in 1066.

Using the playground and the hill outside of Gordon, students were each assigned a role with an excellent array of shields on display.

Special praise must go to Tom C, who in vivid detail, displayed the death of Harold Godwinson. Tom A’s energetic portrayal and French impersonation of William inspired his troops to take victory!
