GB Medics Students Visit ARU
Back to Latest News
As part of our GB Medics programme, 9 students from Year 11 and a student from Year 12 who have all shown interest or are applying for medicine attended ARU for a taster day.
Students had the experience of listening to a senior lecturer at the university about what it takes to be a doctor as well as the different career pathways you can take.
We were also fortunate enough to have a former GBHS student who is now in his third year studying medicine and gave us a great student perspective on what it takes to study medicine.
Students were then given a full tour of the modern medicine department which boasts incredible facilities including a full mock GP suite and a hospital ward. Students also experienced a clinical setting and were given the opportunity to perform CPR.
