Netflix has dropped the official Players trailer for its latest romantic comedy movie starring Gina Rodriguez and Tom Ellis. The video features Rodriguez’s Mack, a sports journalist who tries to win over Ellis’ Nick with the help of her friends as her wingmen. The film is slated to start streaming on Valentine’s Day, February 14.

What is Players about?
Players is directed by Trish Sie from a screenplay written by Whit Anderson. The film stars Rodriguez, Ellis, Damon Wayans Jr., Joel Courtney, Augustus Prew, Liza Koshy, Ego Nwodim, and Marin Hinkle. It is executive produced by Rodriguez, Ross Girard, Sophia Lin, and Molly Breeskin, with Ross M. Dinerstein, Marc Platt, Adam Siegel, and Ryan Christians serving as producers.
“In the film, New York sportswriter Mack has spent years devising successful hook-up ‘plays’ with best friend Adam and their crew,” reads the synopsis. “While it has led to countless one-night stands over the years, following their playbook comes with a strict set of ground rules — chief among them: you can’t build a relationship from a play. When Mack unexpectedly falls for her latest target, charming war correspondent Nick, she begins to rethink the game entirely.
