After the success of Tiger 3, Emraan Hashmi is looking into exploring his villain arc. As per recent reports, the actor might be joining the cast of Don 3.
Director Farhan Akhtar announced the third film a few months back. He also revealed that the upcoming movie will be helmed by Ranveer Singh instead. Excel Entertainment, the producers, confirmed the news by sharing a clip featuring the actor. There were also reports of Priyanka Chopra returning to the franchise as well.

Emraan Hashmi to play the villain in Don 3
In the remake of Amitabh Bachchan’s Don, Shah Rukh Khan starred as the lead alongside Boman Irani as the villain in parts one and two of the movie. However, in Don 3, Ranveer Singh will star as the lead, and as per speculation, and Emraan Hashmi could be the antagonist.
This week, the paparazzi clicked the actor outside Farhan Akhtar’s Excel Entertainment office, sparking rumors about his role in the movie. This news comes days after the actor was praised for his performance in Tiger 3. The fans also crowned him as the anti-hero of the year. In the viral video, Emraan Hashmi is seen rocking a casual fit, posing for photos, and engaging in light conversations with the paparazzi.
In August 2023, the makers released the teaser announcement for Don 3. The clip featured Ranveer Singh’s voice saying, “Sher jo so raha hain woh jagega kab, puchte hai yeh sab. Unse keh do phir jaag utha hoon main, aur phir samne jald aane ko…”. The actor appeared in the classic Don style, wearing sunglasses, smoking a cigarette, and holding a revolver. Director Farhan Akhtar shared the teaser and captioned it, “A New Era Begins #Don3.”
