An international Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire trailer has been released by Toho, showing the titular titans in a few big locations. The end of the trailer, in particular, features Godzilla standing in the Colosseum in Rome, implying there may be a major scene there in the film.
“This latest entry follows up the explosive showdown of Godzilla vs. Kong with an all-new cinematic adventure, pitting the almighty Kong and the fearsome Godzilla against a colossal undiscovered threat hidden within our world, challenging their very existence – and our own,” reads the movie’s synopsis. “The epic new film will delve further into the histories of these Titans, their origins, and the mysteries of Skull Island and beyond, while uncovering the mythic battle that helped forge these extraordinary beings and tied them to humankind forever.”

Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire is once again directed by Adam Wingard (Blair Witch, The Guest) from screenplay written by Terry Rossio, Simon Barrett, and Jeremy Slater. The latest installment stars Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry, Dan Stevens, Kaylee Hottle, Alex Ferns, and Fala Chen. Mary Parent, Alex Garcia, Eric Mcleod, Thomas Tull, Jon Jashni, and Brian Rogers are all producing the movie, while Wingard, Jen Conroy, Jay Ashenfelter, Yoshimitsu Banno, and Kenji Okuhira serve as executive producers.
