A Good Day To Be a Dog Ending Explained: Does Cha Eun-Woo’s K-Drama Have a Happy or Sad Ending?

Starring Cha Eun-Woo as Jin Seo-Won and Park Gyu-Young as Han Hae-Na, A Good Day To Be a Dog has come to an end. MBC aired the final episode on Wednesday.

The K-drama is about Hae-Na, who suffers from a family curse in which they can turn into a dog if kissed. In the beginning, she kisses Seo-Won, who has a fear of dogs. Eventually, the two fall in love, and he breaks her curse by kissing her back. The storyline also deals with their past lives, where mountain god Lee Bo-Gyeom (Lee Hyun-Woo) put a curse on Hae-Na’s ancestor because of a misunderstanding.

In the previous episode, viewers saw Bo-Gyeom realizing his mistake and turning things around. Hence, Hae-Na returns to her memory of Seo-Won, and they become a couple again in the final episode. A Good Day To Be a Dog ends on a happy note.

A Good Day To Be a Dog episode 14 begins one year after Park Gyu-Young’s Hae-Na and Cha Eun-Woo’s Seo-Won got back together. They are still deeply in love and trying to keep their relationship secret at school.

Hae-Na struggles to find a perfect gift for Seo-Won’s upcoming birthday. The two share adorable moments in the library, sharing love notes while one of their colleagues sees them and wonders when they will stop hiding their relationship. Meanwhile, Hae-Na’s sister Yu-Na and her boyfriend Woo-Taek meet the Han family and prepare for their wedding. Hae-Na’s uncle, who recently turned human, starts dating school teacher Chae-A, but she runs away from their date after he starts barking.

The final episode also shows Park Gyu-Young‘s character conducting a surprise play for Seo-Won as his birthday present. She creates an act with the help of the students narrating the lead characters’ love story. However, Seo-Won fails to attend the play in order to help Hae-Na’s uncle. However, he watches it online and expresses his gratitude to her. The two end up sharing a swoon-worthy kiss.

While all the characters find their happy ending, Min Ji-A (reincarnation of Bo-Gyeom’s lover) looks for the mountain god. She lays a trap for his servant, who is a fox and used to disguise himself as the school’s vice principal. He falls for the trap, which leads her to Bo-Gyeom. He has moved near a beach, away from all the people he has hurt in the past. Bo-Gyeom and Ji-A’s story ends with them lighting lanterns and looking at the sea.

In A Good Day To Be a Dog episode 14, Cha Eun-woo’s Seo-Won is seen taking dogs for a walk with Hae-Na. He used to have a fear of dogs due to a traumatic incident in his childhood. The finale shows him taking the initiative to overcome his fear.

One particular pooch grabs his attention at a shelter. In the end, he and Hae-Na have adopted the dog as they bring it on their picnic date. A Good Day To Be a Dog finale consists of happily-ever-after moments in the lead couple’s life. In fact, all the characters in the K-drama have a happy ending.
