There is a massive buzz around Vijay Sethupathi and Katrina Kaif‘s upcoming film, Merry Christmas, since this is the first time the two actors are collaborating on a project. Celebrated filmmaker Sriram Raghavan is the director of Merry Christmas. He has been spilling beans about the flick throughout its promotions. The director even revealed how he wanted to introduce a fresh pair on screen, and that’s how Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi came on board. The film was simultaneously made in both Hindi and Tamil and will hit the screens on January 12, 2024.

Merry Christmas will entertain the audience?
The makers of Merry Christmas are leaving no stone unturned in promoting the film. Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi have been appearing in back-to-back interviews, and fans are eagerly waiting to watch the film in theaters because of the anticipation set by the trailer and songs.
Ahead of its release, an X (formerly Twitter) user, Sridevi Sreedhar, has revealed how the film will do in theaters. She revealed that the verdict of the film’s Tamil version’s special screening has come out to be positive. Sreedhar wrote, “Merry Christmas (Tamil) gets good response from audiences at a special screening in Chennai.”
On the other hand, netizens are also sharing a sneak peek from the movie. A tweet by the official X account of Films and Stuffs shares that “The second half of the #MerryChristmas is such a great watch. For its dark comedy and especially the police station scene in particular.”
As per the trailer, the Vijay Sethupathi starrer will revolve around a mother who meets a stranger and celebrates Christmas with him. However, things get a bit twisted with time when they do not reveal their names to each other. The addition of the dramatic soundtrack and dark visuals further tease a thrilling story.
In other news, during an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Katrina Kaif revealed that her friends and family are excited about her pairing with Vijay Sethupathi. While many are finding the pairing to be slightly odd, Katrina said, “To me, it feels like two actors coming together for a very unusual story.”
