There are two reasons why fans have to wait so long for Fire Force season 3. The first is the extended time it requires to produce shows that are heavily focused on action. The second reason is that the series was almost on par with the manga back in 2020, so the animation studio likely wanted to wait until there was plenty of material to adapt.
Earlier, it was speculated that the third season of Fire Force will be released in spring 2024. But recently, there have been rumors that the series’ release window is in summer 2024.
It was also rumored that the series’ production studio would be changing from David Production to Studio Shaft. Given the recent leaks on X, it seems like there won’t be any changes.
Fans even speculated that the new season might be released on the original manga’s tenth anniversary. However, that would have stretched the release window to 2025. Considering the speculations about the third season’s release this summer, Fire Force fans are excited to see the adventures of Shinra Kusakabe and his friends.
