God of War TV Show: Who Could Play Amazon Prime’s Atreus?

Fans are wondering whether the upcoming God of War TV series from Amazon Prime Video has cast one of its lead characters, Atreus. This comes after a recent tweet from film news site Discussing Film claiming that writing for the show is underway. Here is all you need to know.

Has Amazon Prime Video’s God of War TV series cast its Atreus?

No, Amazon Prime Video has not officially cast its Atreus for the God of War TV series as of publishing.

This is because the writing process is currently underway and it will be a long time before the script of the show is finished, after which the casting process and shooting will begin. So, fans will have to wait a very long time for more updates on the casting of Atreus.

Actors who could play Atreus in the God of War TV show

There are a handful of talented actors who could capture Atreus brilliantly. Some notable names include Walker Scobell, Iain Armitage, and Billy Barratt.

Walker Scobell is a good pick for Atreus not only because he is a rising star but also because of his heartfelt performance as young Adam Reed in The Adam Project. He has further proven his capabilities with his leading role of Percy Jackson in the recent Disney Plus Percy Jackson and the Olympians series. Through both these projects, Scobell has showcased that he has the acting range to take on the kind and compassionate but ultimately naive and overconfident Atreus.

Iain Armitage, known for his role as Young Sheldon Cooper in The Big Bang Theory prequel, Young Sheldon, is another good pick as he has shown through his portrayal of the super-smart Sheldon that he can take on Atreus, who himself is a very intelligent and well-read boy.

Billy Barratt is yet another young actor with the range required to play Atreus, as shown in his performances as Casper Morrow in Apple TV Plus’s series Invasion and Ray in the TV film Responsible Child, for which he won an International Emmy Award.

In entertainment elsewhere, the Mothers’ Instinct trailer has dropped. Also, here is our interview with The Bricklayer’s Aaron Eckhart.
